  • Shore Club Lobster Suppers

    For 85 years and four generations, the Harnish family have been welcoming guests from all over the World to the Original Nova Scotia Lobster Supper. Cooked the traditional way in ocean water and served right out of the pot, the lobster supper includes salads, rolls, mussels and a choice of dessert. For non-lobster lovers there is steak, chicken and a children's menu. Quite often a fiddler or a musical group will find their way on the stage and entertain for a while. We encourage you to drop out back and see the crew preparing the lobsters and have a chat.

  • Sou’Wester Gift Shop & Restaurant

    The Sou'Wester Gift & Restaurant Co. began in 1967 as a small five table tearoom at the side of a house at its present location. It has been expanded over the last five decades to a 180-seat restaurant offering traditional Maritime and seafood dishes, and a two-level gift shop with one of the Maritimes largest selections of giftware. Today, more than 50 years later, The Sou'Wester is still run by the family of its founder, John Campbell.

Today, authentic nautical décor evokes the energy and excitement of the seafaring age, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for digging in to an Ocean Wise-certified seafood feast with friends and family. Don’t miss our patio in the summer where you can enjoy two favourite Halifax pastimes—pints and people-watching.

    Local Maritime flavours meet incredible sea views at our onsite restaurant and lounge. Like the beautiful landscape just outside the dining room window, our authentically Nova Scotian menu changes with the season.
